The Jericho Walk – Give Us the Right To Remain

The New Sanctuary Coalition is calling our Faith Leaders, members of their congregations, and our allies to march the MARCH of JERICHO. We are marching around Federal Plaza in COMPLETE SILENCE in FAITH, FASTING and PRAYING IN ONE ACCORD FOR OUR IMMIGRANT COMMUNITIES’ RIGHT TO REMAIN.

On the morning of Friday June 17th as we fast we will march seven times for seven weeks preceded by the sounds of the Ram’s horns of victory.

We are going to be wearing white and red (Use your white ceremonial robes with red stoles if you have them). As we begin each circle we will stop and we will raise our hands and pray the same pray in unity.

Where:    26 Federal Plaza between Worth and Duane Streets

We gather at 10:30 am

Our Demands:

•    To protect our immigrant communities for their RIGHT TO REMAIN with their families, with their
communities, in their schools, and in their places of worship

•    To bring attention to the immorality of the detention and deportation system
